Hurricane Florence

Sustaining winds of up to 90 mph, the eye of Hurricane Florence landed in North Carolina on the morning of September 14th, 2018.  The Category 1 storm brought heavy rain and strong wind gusts mainly across the Charleston Tri-County region, while knocking out electricity services to more than 150,000 customers in North Carolina.  After a successful Hogs for Harvey mission, the Roughnecks and Rednecks are back at it helping victims of Hurricane Florence.

Hogs for Harvey, now Florence

A little over a year ago, a group of people from the tiny town of Rising Star, TX, took a local nuisance, feral hogs, and turned it into a blessing when they fed over 10,000 people affected by hurricane Harvey.

Today, the Roughnecks and Rednecks 501 C-3 are recreating this Pro Second Amendment mission for the people affected by hurricane Florence. They are currently taking in hogs, alive or dead, at Full Draw Wild Game Processing in Rising Star. Once they are processed, the hogs will be cooked, pulled, and packaged for delivery to the Carolinas.

How can I help?
